Deborah Lamoreux has sold her fine art photography and paintings to collectors across the country. Widely exhibited in Houston, TX and Davis, CA, recent solo exhibitions include one at the Pence Gallery, and several at The Artery in Davis, CA. Lamoreux was raised in the Northeast, which led her to study drawing and painting for two years at Monmouth University, NJ. Then she transferred to the Rochester Institute of Technology, NY to pursue her great interest in photography and complete a BFA. She began her career at Christie’s auction house in NYC photographing works of art. Later, she specialized in commercial still life, which enabled her to master photographic techniques.
Eventually, unable to ignore the dream of being a full time artist, she accepted a scholarship and completed an MFA at the University of Houston. Upon graduation she was hired by FotoFest, Int., the biennial, in Houston, TX. In 2002, she moved with her partner to California. From 2005-20013 she operated a studio/gallery in Winters, CA. Today, she continues to work full time on her fine art projects in her studio in Davis, CA.
